System Requirements
In order to work properly with Scribe your computer hardware and software must meet the minimum requirements below.

Text Platform
The minimum system requirements for the text platform are:

• Operating System - Windows 98 or newer.
• Browser - Internet Explorer 5.5 or newer.
• Audio - Windows Media Player 9.0 or newer - or any audio player that will support wma files version 9.0.
• Hardware - PC that will run Windows 98 or newer.

Word Platform
The minimum system requirements for the Word platform are:

• Operating System - Windows 2000 or newer.
• Word - Word 2000 or newer.
• Browser - Internet Explorer 6.0 or newer.
• Audio - Windows Media Player 9.0 or newer - or any audio player that will support wma files version 9.0.
• Hardware - PC that will run Windows 2000 or newer (recommend Pentium III minimum).
• Updates - All Microsoft Office (Word) updates, all Windows and IE critical updates and service packs.
• Security - Your browser should have *.scribe.com as a trusted site.

Security Settings
In order to make sure that you can use the Scribe Word Platform your Internet Explorer security settings should like *.scribe.com as a trusted site. To do this simply follow the steps below:

• 1. Open IE
• 2. Click on the Tools option from the menu at the top of your screen
• 3. Click on Internet Options from the menu list that appears.
• 4. A Pop-up Window will open - click the Security Tab.
• 5. Click on the Trusted Site icon (green circle with a checkmark in it)
• 6. Click on the Sites button that appears.
• 7. Another Pop-up Window will open - in the box that says "Add this Web site to the zone:" type: *.scribe.com
• 8. Make sure that the box that says "Require server verification (https:) for all sites..." is NOT checked then click the ADD Button
• 9. Click OK - you'll be returned to the security tab.
• 10. Click OK on the security tab.
• 11. You're finished!
