Auto-Distribution

Top  Previous  Next

Auto-distribution is a process whereby the dictating user chooses who will automatically receive a copy of the finished transcribed record after it is Approved into the Scribe Archive.

Auto-distribution is initiated by the dictating user at the time of dictation via dictated request. For example: "please auto-distribute this dictated record to Dr. James Smith via fax (or email) at <dictate fax number/email address>".

If digital signature is available in the user's library, the auto-distributed document will be electronically signed as well.

If the intended recipient's fax number or email address is available in the user's Scribe Online Contacts, the dictating user does not need to dictate the recipient's contact information.

The envelope icon next to the Inbox record (Scribe MD Files>Inbox) indicates that a record has been slated for auto-distribution. By clicking on this icon, a window will open where you can view or edit the intended recipient's contact information.
