Email dictations from Outlook

Top  Previous  Next

Note: Emailing dictations directly to Scribe requires that each email contain only files belonging to one Physician/one Group, as the files are identified by the information in the Subject line of the email.

1. Save your dictations on your computer's hard drive (we recommend creating a folder for sent dictations, with sub-folders named by date sent).

2. Open a new Outlook email message

3. Type the dictating user's Scribe User ID + Z + Pin number in the subject line of the message (if the user is in mulitple Scribe groups, you can also add Group identifying number - User ID + Z + Pin number + G + group number).

Example:

Dr. Doe's user id is 12345

Dr. Doe's Pin number is 2222

Dr. Doe's group number is 54321

So, in the the subject line of the email, type 12345Z2222G54321

Do not type in any other information in the Subject line, as user/pin/group identification is automated in the Scribe system

4. Drag and drop the dictations you wish to send into the body of the email, and they will automatically attach to the email.

5. Send to: [email protected]. A confirmation message will be sent to your email shortly, confirming receipt of the dictations.
