A brief description of the functions of the tabs is below.

Files Tab - view the status of your dictations in Pending, view, edit, fax/email and print your completed transcription in Inbox and store your finished files and signed files in Archive.

 

Preferences Tab - customize the layout and functioning of your Files tab page, change your password and contact info, and more.........

 

Reference Tab - manage your address book, and create and upload user templates and macros to your account.

 

Schedule Tab - view your patient schedule by any selected date range (for users with an Inbound Schedule Integration to Scribe)

 

Charts Tab - (available by permission) view an online demo of Scribe's Patient Chart Module, available as an add-on product with Scribe Complete.

 

Reports Tab (available by permission) view detailed reports on dictation and transcription status, and more.................

 

Admin Tab (available by permission) add and manage users and their permissions, access the user library to add macros and templates at the group level, add electronic signature to a dictating user's account

 

 

 

Scribe Frequently Asked Questions

 

Can I access my Scribe account from home?

Yes, anywhere you have internet access you are able to view, edit, email or fax your records. Please be sure that your computer meets Scribe's minimum requirements, and that the simple setup steps found in the sub-chapter MD Setup-Scribe Complete are completed prior to opening and editing records in Scribe.

 

Open your Web browser Internet Explorer (6.0 or above)
Go to http://www.scribe.com/ and click the Log-in button
Enter your User Name
Enter your password
Click the Log In button

 

How do I print documents using my letterhead paper?

Click on the Print button, choose Letterhead or Patient info, click on Print.  A new web browser window appears.  Choose File and the drop down Menu which includes page set up opens.  You are able to choose your top, bottom, right, left margin for printing.

 

What if I want to print multiple documents?

Place a check mark in each of the documents you wish to print and click on the Print button.  A new web browser window appears with all the documents included in one print job.

 

How can I view the transcriptions?

Click on the Patient name you want to view.  Once the document is open, you are able to edit, save the changes or approve the record.

 

Can I fax or email my documents directly from my Scribe account?

Yes, simply click on the Comm button to communicate your documents via email or fax.

 

Does Scribe give me the ability to search for records?

Yes, you are able to search for the Patient Name, Medical Record Number or specific terminology by entering the information in the search criteria box.  For example, type “knee surgery” for example to locate all documents containing those words.  Our search feature will search the complete document, including the header information, to locate the document.

 

How do I change my Scribe account preferences?

By clicking on the Preferences area you are able to change the quantity of records displayed per page, the document preferences such as headers and footers, digital signature, forwarding email or fax and changing password for the account or pin number.
