Architecture & Security
The Scribe Platform is based on a relational database architecture. Applications are developed using industry standards tools — primarily Microsoft ASP — using a three-tiered COM based application environment.

Separate applications focus on voice processing, transcription processing, transaction management, communications, and administration around a core database.

Servers are protected behind a locked down Cisco router and PIX firewall. The database and application architecture provides for inherent segmentation of personal information from transaction information. System controls, database architecture and internal policies provide HIPAA compliance. Information is delivered over the web using HTTPS 128 bit encryption.

HIPAA Compliance
The Scribe platform has been designed with HIPAA compliance in mind. It meets or beats the standards required by HIPAA to ensure the most secure and private environment for the management of clinical healthcare information available today.

Upon request, Scribe can provide detailed information with respect to platform design, security and HIPAA.
